I love painting landscapes, seascapes, abstract, wildlife and flowers. I am never short of subject matter as I was born between the shores of Lough Corrib and Lough Mask, in Co. Galway and grew up looking at the changing colours of the lakes, the Atlantic and rivers that surrounded me. The Connemara mountains especially around Leenaune, Maam, Maam Cross and Oughterard, hills such as Mount Gable in Clonbur, valleys and woods in Cong were a constant in my life and I loved painting my local scenes in the West of Ireland.
I am painting for years and I love all art and trying new techniques. I painted watercolours and pastels initially and in latter years I love acrylics, pen and ink.
I love travelling and this adds to the richness of my subject matter but I find I return to the wealth of local Irish subject matter time and time again.
